Centaurs are highly intelligent, free-living beings who travel in small nomadic groups and rarely stay long in one place. Their communities move with the seasons, following established routes between grazing grounds, water sources and trading regions.
Long distances and rough ground cost them little. They are also fine archers and can shoot accurately at a full gallop.
Trade with Liret is well established. Centaur groups regularly exchange news, practical goods and materials with the settlement, particularly cloth, harness, oils, medicines and crafted items. Relations with the people of Liret are generally good.
Outside Liret, centaurs are considerably less welcoming towards humans. They tend to avoid human settlements and are slow to trust outsiders, preferring their own routes and company.
Notes
- Centaurs are widely regarded as perceptive and difficult to deceive. Their intelligence, memory for routes and knowledge of distant regions make them valuable sources of information for travellers fortunate enough to earn their trust.
